Sport organizations are increasingly under the microscope of stakeholders - especially fans, media, advocacy groups, sponsors, governments, and governing bodies - to anticipate the effects of sustainability and ESG issues on performance, to comply with sustainability and ESG standards, and to demonstrate positive impact on society.
Impact organizations and change-makers from both inside and outside of sport recognize the power of sport as a unique tool for achieving social, economic, and environmental impact and seek innovative and sustainable solutions for realizing that potential.
The Sport Impact Group works with organizations to enable impact through sport.
The Power of Sport has long been recognised as an incredibly powerful tool - used for good and bad in the past. In the last 10-15 years the ‘Sport for Good’ Sector has seen tremendous growth - and so have two other sectors: Social Finance and ESG-compliance.
Combined they can be incredibly powerful and successful especially when based on data, analytics and transparent reporting.
A collective of international sport and impact professionals
An established, professional, highly active, and highly impactful sport for impact global ecosystem.
Our mission is to support all stakeholders in a joint effort to evolve and grow the sport for impact sector
Our multidisciplinary team provides a holistic approach to sustainability and ESG compliance for sports organizations (such as federations and clubs), sport events, NGOs, and others. We assess the relevance of current and future standards, certifications and frameworks in combination with client needs and priorities to develop individualized sustainability and ESG strategies. Through state-of-the-art to data management we enable easy tracking and reporting, ultimately helping organisations achieve compliance, profit, and impact.
Using similar skills as for our sustainability and ESG consulting, we also work with impact organisations (such as sports organizations, NGOs, not-for-profits, and charities) to refine their impact areas, define strategies, and identify and track appropriate targets and indicators. As with our sustainability and ESG practice, great emphasis is placed on utilizing state-of-the-art data-management to guide governance and implementation, to facilitate reporting to stakeholders and funders, and ultimately to demonstrate impact.
Organisations with comprehensive and effective Sustainability/ESG and Impact Strategies can become very attractive for commercial partners as well as philanthropic and impact investors. To support such organizations and to address the need for greater funding and mobilisation of capital for sustainability and impact, we combine our knowledge of enhanced sustainability/ESG and impact strategies with innovative financing models to help clients access a broad range of funding sources and achieve their funding needs.
There are many “sport for good” and “sport for development” organizations aiming to use sport for positive outcomes for society.
